Day 2 - Building Sophie a New Kitchen

Construction workers arrive as promised at 7am to begin working on Sophie’s new kitchen. From digging the foundation to mixing the cement and laying the bricks, it is going to open a new era for Sophie’s creche—having a brick building!

No more rain leaks seeping through the ceiling or the walls. No more water leaking into the hot plate stove components making it inoperative for cooking. This happens periodically during the rainy season... Sophie and Anita must build a fire outdoors to cook the children’s food, otherwise there wouldn’t be meals for the kids.
