Chicago Church Welcomes Sister Sophie with Open Arms!
Bonnie Ellis, Assistant Pastor of the New Christian Life House of Prayer & Faith presents Sophie with an honorary church t-shirt.
A year ago, Bonnie Ellis, Assistant Pastor at the New Christian Life House of Prayer & Faith, called Aid Africa’s Children to ask whether they we were trying to raise $25,000 or $2,500 for Sophie’s new creche kitchen. At the time, Aid Africa’s Children was raising funds for the remaining $2,500 balance.
After listening to the story behind Sophie’s Creche, this Chicago Southside church, The New Christian Life House of Prayer & Faith graciously offered to help.
One year later, Sophie came to America for the first time, and was able to meet in person, the people behind these generous donations. Bonnie surprised Sophie with a church t-shirt with her name on it it and a special service and meal in her honor.
